Parks and Gardens
Zinave National Park is situated in the Inhambane Province of Mozambique and covers about 400,000 hectares. The park is in a protected area in the Mabote District of the Inhambane Province and is a beautiful national park full of baobab trees, bushland, and game. The park is near the Save River, where the land transitions from wet tropical land to drylands, which makes it a very important aspect of animals' movements and migration. Thus, it is an area rich in wildlife, especially giraffe.
Zinave National Park is a part of the Mozambican component of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area. Currently, Zinave is going through a re-population program which involves reintroducing the game to the park following the devastation caused by Mozambique's sixteen years Civil War. The park is being restored and protected, and current progress will restore and revive the ecosystems and ecological connectivity of the area.
Zinave is a beautiful place to visit, full of plains game such as zebra and giraffes, as well as elephants, a wide variety of birds, crocodiles, and more. Take a game drive or a walking safari through the park with friends or family - it is a wonderful place to see!
