Description

The tour begins with an 8:00 AM departure from Maputo Marina, heading out to the Indian Ocean whale watching area. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Light snacks, fresh fruit, and water are provided on board to keep guests comfortable throughout the trip.

As these are wild whales, sightings cannot be guaranteed at a specific time. The experienced crew continuously scans the ocean to maximize chances of spotting humpback whales, with the possibility of seeing dolphins along the way.

After locating the whales, guests spend time observing them in their natural environment. The boat then proceeds to Portuguese Island for a short beach stop. Following this, a 10-minute ride takes you to Inhaca Village for a local lunch. After lunch, there is a leisurely walk through the village and market to experience everyday life on the island.

The tour concludes with a return boat ride to Maputo Marina around 3:00 to 4:00 PM, crossing Maputo Bay and ending the day with memories of marine wildlife and island culture.
