Gorongosa National Park is a beautiful national park located in the Great Rift Valley in central Mozambique. It covers over 4,000 km of land. It is known for its incredible wildlife population and a vast range of animals.

The park has a variety of different ecosystems which allows for a huge diversity of wildlife, from rivers and lakes to plains and forests. Go for a boat trip on Lake Urema and you will see dozens of crocodiles, amazing birdlife, and hippos. A game drives through the Fever-Tree forests will find you searching for a waterbuck or sable. Sit in the dining room of the Montebelo Hotel and you can watch the monkeys and warthogs who live nearby while sipping your local coffee grown on the Gorongosa Mountain. You can also spend the day at the falls, the Murombodzi waterfall. This is a beautiful park that is not to be missed when in Mozambique.
